General Information

Denmark has a long tradition of tolerance, and in 1989, it became the first country to recognize same-sex marriages.

The tourist office's "gay Copenhagen" press release points out that "The first gay bar, Centralhjørnet, opened over 80 years ago, and is still going strong--along with a wealth of other newer cafés & bars. [Copenhagen] even boasts its own gay radio station, Radio Rosa."

Copenhagen Gay Life
CGL is operated by the Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in Copenhagen. Its Web site has general information and listings of gay clubs, bars, restaurants, events, etc.

Copenhagen Gay Travel Guide and Map
These pages are from Patroc Gay Guide Europe, which has local gay guides for cities across Europe.
