Walking directions to Hotel San Salvador (with map)

Calle Galeazza and Doppelgaänger store, Venice

The Hotel San Salvador is a small, friendly two-star hotel on the San Marco side of the Rialto Bridge, within fairly quick walking distance of the Piazza San Marco. (Our son and daughter-in-law stayed there a few years ago and enjoyed their experience.)

The hotel's 10 rooms aren't large, but all have private bathrooms with showers, and Wi-Fi is included in the reasonable rates.

How to reach the Hotel San Salvador from the Alilaguna Linea Arancio airport-boat pier at Rialto:

Hotel San Salvador map directions

  1. As you leave the boat pier, turn left. Cross the small bridge just ahead of you and walk through the arcaded passage until you see a Nicla clothing store.

  2. Turn right onto the Calle Larga Mazzini and walk straight ahead to the Campo del San Salvador, which has a memorial column in the street.

  3. Turn left and walk down the Via 2 Aprile toward the Campo San Bartolomeo. Look for the Calle Galeazza on your right.

  4. Turn right into the Calle Galeazza and walk to the Hotel San Salvador, which is at no. 5264. (You'll need to ring the bell and climb a staircase to the hotel lobby.)
