Ca' Dogaressa

The Ca' Dogaressa is technically a "Town House Suites 1st Category" establishment, which is comparable to a three-star hotel.

The location is easy to reach from the Alilaguna Orange Line airport boat stop at Guglie or the railroad station, and the oldest Jewish ghetto in Europe is just around the corner.

How to reach the Ca' Dogaressa from the Guglie stop of the Alilaguna airport boat (Alilaguna Linea Arancio):

Ca' Dogaressa map directions

  1. As you leave the boat platform, turn left.

  2. Walk along the Canareggio Canal for about 150 meters (0.1 mile).

  3. Ca' Dogaressa will be on your right, facing the canal.

ABOVE: This map shows the route from Venezia Santa Lucia Railroad Station to the Ponte delle Guglie on the Cannaregio Canal. Walking time is 5 to 10 minutes over level ground.

  1. Leave the railroad station by the marble steps outside the main doors, or by the side exit near Track 1 if you have rolling luggage, a stroller, or a wheelchair and want to avoid stairs.

  2. When you reach the wide fondamenta or pavement in front of the station, turn left.

  3. Walk past the Scalzi Church and the Scalzi Bridge toward the Rio Terà Lista di Spagna (a busy shopping street).

  4. Continue down the Lista di Spagna and through the Campo San Geremia to the Ponte delle Guglie, which is a stone bridge over the Cannaregio Canal.

  5. Cross the bridge.

  6. Immediately turn left at the foot of the bridge and walk along the canal, past Gam Gam restaurant and the ACTV waterbus stop, until you reach Ca' Dogaressa.
